It’s the journey and the destination that count--Skylar the cat.
Suffice to say that Skylar’s journey was a rather lengthy one, crossing provincial borders to be welcomed into the warmth and love at EHS. `Au revoir` Québec, `bonjour` Ontario. While waiting to meet her forever family, who will take her to her final destination (her forever home!), Skylar is adjusting quite well to her new environment.
ABOUT SKYLAR: -At shelter -Adult, domestic shorthair, female -Skylar enjoys pets on her chin, cheeks, and forehead from the back-scratcher. -She is very gentle but a bit nervous, preferring to be pet by hand when she is snuggled in her cubby. -Skylar is full of energy, eagerly chasing wand toys and often rolling on her back to play. Plenty of fun is in store! -Skylar is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. -She is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people. -Skylar is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.
SKYLAR`S IDEAL HOME: -Skylar has yet to let us know as to whether or not she wishes to share her home with compatible felines, or canines, for that matter. -A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children. -Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Skylar settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Skylar with a successful transition to her forever home.
