`You don`t have to worry about Karma, Karma has your back.` Karma is a 4 year old Terrier Pit Bull mix that has been in HSSM care since early December 2024. She was brought in as a stray after being picked up by Animal Control. Karma is a friend girl who is always excited to meet new people, and will do just about anything for a cookie. She knows how to sit and is working on other commands. She loves Popsicle in the summer and wearing flashy bandanas. She is always prepared for the journey ahead and will always have your back. She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and will be spayed upon adoption. If you are looking for a new best friend, then she could be the one for you. HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
