Her foster mom reports that Mona is a very loving, playful pup that loves to bark and run. She would benefit from a fenced in yard. Mona is high energy and would do fine with another dog of her energy level. And she loves her small stuffed animals but will chew tennis balls. She seemed interested in kids when she was out walking. She would love a family or couple to give her the attention she deserves. Through a partnership with another rescue, Geauga Moms and Pups, we pulled Mona to find a loving forever home. Mona is a special needs pup because she was born deaf. Other than that, Mona is a normal puppy that loves to play and sleep hard. Mona is an 8-month-old beagle/terrier mix that weighs 30 pounds. Mona is a cuddly happy and friendly puppy. She has been around other dogs and older children and did well with both. She has not been exposed to cats or other small furry pets. Mona will need help with general obedience, leash training, housetraining and socialization. Mona is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Potential adopters are interviewed initially by phone or email and then again during the meet and greet. All family members should attend.

If you have submitted an application online we will contact you within 72 hours with any information you need to know for adoption.

Interview and interaction - find the right fit for the family and new pet and a meet if this will be a second dog in the home.

At Parma Animal Shelter, we do not adopt our animals out as gifts or surprises. We believe that adopting a pet is a significant commitment and should be a well-considered decision. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse any adoption to ensure the best match for both the animal and the adopter.
All of our animals are microchipped, tested for disease, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and internal parasites, and given lots of loving care during their stay with us. We are dedicated to meeting their medical needs and do our best to socialize them.

We are open daily from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00-12 noon.
