Meet Penelope (Penny for short) — and you’ll both feel lucky if she becomes part of your family!
Penny is a soft, irresistibly cute, and delightfully playful kitty with a touch of elegance. Her striking black fur under her chin and her big, expressive eyes give her a timeless, Audrey Hepburn-esque charm. And let’s be honest — black and white is always in style.
Penny’s playful energy shines brightest when she’s with her favorite toys. She’s a big fan of her tower of tracks (where she’ll bat the balls around for ages) and enjoys chasing dried minnows and her beloved stuffed mouse. She’s also a bit of a wrestler, playing with enthusiasm and gusto. Because of her energetic play style, Penny would thrive in a home with another playful cat companion. This way, she’ll have a buddy to chase and wrestle with, which also means your hands and arms stay scratch-free.
When it’s time to rest, Penny prefers solo naps during the day. But in the evenings, she’s all about quality time with her humans. She’ll lounge on her foster mom’s lap, purring loudly as she stretches, rolls around, and even gives the occasional hand bath. It’s her way of showing love and appreciation.
Penny’s social side takes a little patience. She’s initially shy with new people, so she might not put on a show at a meet-and-greet. But give her a few days (and maybe a few treats), and she’ll start to warm up. If you’re looking for an immediate social butterfly, Penny might not be the right fit. However, personalities can change as cats mature, and Penny’s confidence may continue to grow in a stable, loving home.
Penny currently lives with a 65-lb dog and handles it like a pro. She’d likely do well with a respectful dog that understands her boundaries.
If you’re searching for a playful, quirky, and occasionally snuggly companion with classic good looks, Penny might just be your perfect match. Come meet her and see if she’s the one for you!
