Meet HAPPY!
• Male
• Great Pyrenees mix
• 1 year old
• 55 pounds
• Medium energy
• Good with dogs
• Good in a harness
• Appears to be potty trained
Happy is a fluffy polar bear of a pup with a heart as warm as his coat. Though he starts off a bit shy, give him time, and you'll see his true personality blossom—a perfect mix of cuddly affection and gentle curiosity. Like most Pyrenees, Happy has an adventurous spirit and a love for leisurely exploration, making him a great companion for quiet nature walks or weekend getaways. Still young, he’ll thrive with a laid-back owner who appreciates his intelligent mind and occasional wandering ways. While he gets along with dogs big and small, Happy’s idea of play is more about soulful strolls and soft snuggles than rowdy roughhousing. And when the day winds down, you’ll find this lovable bear tucked by your side for TV time, always ready to sneak in a hug or two. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who’s equal parts gentle explorer and devoted cuddle buddy, Happy is your perfect match.
Happy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

More about this rescue
Highland Lakes Canine Rescue was founded in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by a group of folks who wanted to rescue homeless dogs from the Central Texas region and care for their health, rehabilitation and then to ultimately find these dogs a forever home uniting them with a newly adopted family. Initially HLCR started out as a foster only organization but over the 17 years has grown into it's own location with a kennel facility, outdoor pens, walking trails and staff and resident caretaker. An active and passionate group of staff and volunteers works tirelessly supporting HLCR and its mission.
