Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi I’m Dorothy! I was discarded by a puppy mill recently and when I was rescued, I came to HSDC. My foster family took me home so I could start decompressing from the mill. They gave me a bath, trimmed up my face hair and my nails. When they did that, they realized that the mill hadn’t taken good care of me, and I have some fully healed scars on my body that look like they may be burns. I was pretty terrified of my surroundings, so they’ve been helping me to learn about the world through socialization, and basic puppy skills like house and crate training. They said I’ve made a lot of progress and I’m very proud! They say I’ll do best with a dog friend in my forever home. I’d prefer a dog friend who is confident, social, and lets me continue to learn about the world at my own pace. I love kids, and I haven’t decided yet if I want to be friends with the cat. If you think I’d be a perfect fit, submit an application so they can connect you with my foster family!
