My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jerry is a tolerant, well-mannered boy who simply needs a little more time to come out of his shell. We briefly considered listing him as a Spirit Cat, but we quickly discovered that he wasn’t quite as antisocial as they tend to be. He simply needs a special someone who is willing to instill more bravery in him, and who will love him without conditions.

He enjoys the company of other cats, and can often be seen lounging on the windowsill with his best pal Kylie. While he hasn’t entirely mustered up the bravery to show us his playful side (yet!), Jerry is receptive to being petted and won’t hesitate to lean into your touch. We think he has potential to be a cuddle bug in the future!

Unfortunately, Jerry has been overlooked thus far. Most folks don’t have the patience to bond with cats that need a little extra time, since it does require a special kindness and understanding. We’re searching for someone who is willing to give him the encouragement he needs to share his true personality—and we know that true personality is just waiting to be coaxed to the surface.

More about this shelter

Here Today Adopted Tomorrow is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, volunteer driven group focused on reducing the number of homeless animals in our community through prevention and adoption services. In December of 2012, Here Today opened a cageless adoption center for adult cats and kittens. It is deeply important to us that every resident's stay at Here Today is comfortable and healthy, making for well-adjusted, happy animals.
