My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kyoto is a 43 pound male that came into the shelter with wounds down his back (flea control that burned? something else?). This sweet boy doesn't seem to know or mind. He jumped right up to our volunteer who picked him up and immediately gave kisses. Kyoto is really good with other dogs. Kyoto spent almost a month in the shelter, and now, he wants his forever home! Stay tuned for more updates and photos. He is fostering with two other shar pei and is in the Bakersfield area.

We require an adoption questionnaire (found online at www.PeiPeople.com) from all prospective adopters as well an an adoption contract , home visit and a reasonable adoption fee. We do not have any "free" animals.

Any pets that are not already neutered upon rescue will be neutered before placement into homes, unless a medical condition prohibits surgery.
