My name is Della!

Della is a 9 month old female Whippet mix, who is sure to steal your heart from her first bright smile at you! She is super sweet, and loves toys plus cuddles on the couch. Della enjoys running, so a fenced-in yard would be ideal; or she would also do well with an active owner who takes her on long walks and hikes. Della gets along well with other dogs, as well as with cats. She has been living in a foster home while recovering from eye surgery, where her left eye had to be removed. But her resilience is inspiring, and the surgery (plus even the dreaded cone) has not bothered her at all! Della has learned a lot from her fosters, so she is crate trained and has learned leash manners. Overall, they have found her to be very well-behaved indoors. Della has also proven herself to be quiet in her foster home, so could be a good apartment doggie, as well! Just give this sweet girl a loving home, and she will reward you with joy and adoration for the rest of her life!

The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
