My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A pretty girl that is me. Hi! My name is Nova, it comes from the latin word for “new” which in my case is a new beginning, but more on that later! First, I want to talk all about well… ME! I am a very, VERY sweet gal. I love to prance around, chirping while asking for pets. But be ready, as I also LOVE to play! Tunnels are my absolute FAVORITE!! Let’s just say that I am one happy lil kitty!
However, I was not always the confident, happy cat that I am now, just a few months ago, my owners surrendered me to the local shelter where I was placed straight on the euthanasia list due to having Idiopathic Cystitis. Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, FIC for short, is in short, an inflammatory response in my bladder when I am presented to overly stressful situations. My stressful situation was being in the shelter.
Luckily, luck was on my side, because the same day I was set to be euthanized, Kitty Save swooped in and took me in! FIC is a very easy condition to deal with. Kitty Save started by giving me some pain meds to combat my flare up and begun to feed me a mixed diet with urinary food to help my bladder calm down. Within one week, I was back to my happy healthy self and I haven't had a flare up since, nor do I need any medication! I am still being fed my mixed diet and my adopters need to understand that in a stressful event, the FIC may present itself, but it is rather easy to put at bay.
I can be a bit picky when it comes to my cat friends, as I tend to do better with cats that are like me, non-confrontational. I can definitely still co-exist with them and I am sure to become YOUR friend! You can meet me at The Charming Cat Corner, I have a funny feeling you will end up falling for well… ME!
