Hi, my name is Sloane! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am so happy to be part of the MM family. I’m spending time with the volunteers and am excited to meet my new family soon. I hear that time has now come, so let’s find each other!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I want to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. Kids should not walk me due to my dislike for other dogs and that I pull on my leash.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: There are so many great ways the volunteers describe me. They say I am ‘the sweetest girl’ and ‘such a great dog’! I’m playful and loving with a happy and friendly attitude towards everyone I have met. I made a great impression during my shelter bath; I was calm and relaxed the entire time. A beautiful, affectionate girl – I am sure to bring lots of joy and exuberance to my new family! / My energy level is 5-7.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer. I do a great ‘sit’ so far and I’m sure to learn lots more! I am a bit jumpy and pull hard on my leash, so I am working on my leash skills now and should be walked by a strong, savvy walker. / I have good manners in my crate, though I come out of it like gangbusters, so it is not my favorite place. I keep the volunteers on their toes. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too!
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy being active with people and will chase a ball at a moment’s notice – even sitting to let you know I am ready for the throw. I love giving kisses in exchange for great belly rubs. I’m ready to be your active, fun companion! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.
