My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! Hello! My name is Peaches and I can’t wait to tell you all about myself. Last December, I was roaming around in a neighborhood, seeking shelter in an abandoned house. I was hungry, cold, and lonely - often scratching on residents doors to let me inside. Yet, nobody took me in.

That is until one afternoon, a nice woman took me under her wing. She tried helping me find my way back home, but I didn’t know where it was, nor did I want to leave her side.

Eventually, I was brought to the shelter and am now looking for a forever home. I am a female black mouth cur mix who is approximately a year old.

I’m a friendly girl who loooves people. Being beside hoomans is what makes me the happiest. It doesn’t matter what we’re doing - just as long as I’m next to my hooman friends.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who gets along with just about everyone (including large breed dogs) I hope you’ll take a visit to meet me!

Meet the Pet

Feel free to bring your pet (dogs only) to meet your possible new pet.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

It's straightforward; you just need to agree to take great care of our wonderful pets.

4.
Pay Fee

Our fee is $125, but we do offer adoption specials often.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Sometimes there may be a short delay taking your new pet home if they still need to be spayed or neutered.

ADOPTION:

After serving a state-mandated stray hold, healthy dogs and cats will be made available to the public for adoption. Visit the FHAS shelter Monday – Saturday (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Includes:

Spay or neuter surgery

Parvo/distemper vaccine. Kitties get R.C.P.

Bordatella vaccine (dog only)

Rabies vaccine (dogs four months and older)

Basic de-worming

Flea/tick treatment

Microchip

Free Health Exam

*Dogs residing within the County jurisdiction are required to be licensed for an additional $4.00 upon adoption.
