My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buck!

Buck is a gentle and loving 3-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws. He came to us from our friends at the Saginaw County Animal Care Center and has been stealing hearts ever since.

Buck is currently regrowing his beautiful coat after recovering from a skin infection caused by allergies. We can’t wait to see him in all his full, furry glory!

This sweet boy adores affection and will melt into you for pets, often leaning in for extra love. He has the most endearing habit of lifting his front left paw, as if to say, “Hold my hand!” Buck is a fan of gentle butt scratches and will happily wag his tail in appreciation.

While Buck enjoys a good game of fetch (he’ll bounce after a ball with enthusiasm!), he’s also a laid-back guy at heart. Whether it’s a cozy dog bed or a comfy couch, he’s always ready to settle in for a snooze.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will bring endless love and gentle joy to your life, Buck is ready to meet you. Come visit him today and see why he’s such a special soul!

All of our available dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and come with a 30 day free gift of training support through PetCademy. Please come into the shelter to meet with our available animals (Monday through Saturday 10 am - 5pm). If you are interested in placing a short-term hold on a specific animal, please call us at 231-347-2396.
