• Gentle and loving; he adores cuddles and chew toys.

• High energy and loves going on walks!

• Still learning how to walk properly on a leash—he may pull at times, but with positive reinforcement, he’s making great progress.

• Gets along with other dogs but would thrive in a home where he can have all the attention.

• He’s okay with cats and doesn’t mind sharing space with them.

• House-trained and knows how to sit!

• Still adjusting to the crate, but he does fantastic outside of it.

• Very treat-motivated and eager to learn.

• Can be a bit territorial over food due to a troubled past, but this doesn’t affect his happy and loving personality.

If you are looking for a new pet, Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Services shelter has a wide variety of animals to adopt; from dogs and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, to the occasional snake and pot-bellied pigs. The shelter also has two specially designed bonding areas for people to interact and play with the animals they are considering for adoption.
