Odie walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys leisurely strolls, making him the perfect companion for walks around the neighborhood or nature hikes. He’s also a fan of playtime and loves chasing after toys—whether it’s a ball, a frisbee, or just something fun to toss around, he’s all in! Odie is good with other dogs, though he can be a little shy at first while he gets to know new friends. Once he’s comfortable, he’s a gentle and easygoing buddy. We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
