Hi friends, my name is Mary. My sister and I were transferred to HP from another shelter in southern IL. I am such a a sweet girl, really gentle by nature. I really love when the humans hold me and give me kisses. I can be pretty quiet but a little vocal when I play. I love attention and when the humans walk by me I usually ask for the attention. Fox Valley Helping Paws Animal Welfare Association, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, was founded in 1969. Helping Paws is a no-kill animal shelter for stray and abandoned dogs and cats in McHenry County and surrounding areas. The animals are provided a safe place where they receive medical care, spaying or neutering, daily care and love, and the opportunity to be adopted by a responsible owner.
