My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunther needs a purrfect home with an experienced adopter. He has been through so much and we want to make sure it's the right fit. He was declawed, then abandoned by his original family when they moved. A neighbor heard his meows and took him in until she could find a rescue. We made a place for him and took him into foster care where he did great. However, he has now been adopted twice and returned both times. We believe he was introduced to existing pets too soon and it caused some trauma. We always give instructions on very slow introductions, both verbally and written. Since he did great in foster care for weeks, we want to make sure someone follows our instructions and he needs a calm home without dogs or small children. Gunther loves affection and he is a confident kitty who will come when you call him. He has never bitten or scratched, but he does have boundaries and will let you know with a particular meow. We love that about him! If you have patience to take several weeks of slow introductions or if you currently have no pets and he would be an only, we would love to chat with you!
