Here's what the humans have to say about me:
China has lived most of her 2 yrs on a chain. We promised her she will always be loved in a home in the future. She has lived with kids and would like to be the only dog. She hasn't been around other dogs.

We do vet checks to look for a good prior vet history. We check the home and interview the family. Then we do a meet and greet with the family and other pets in the home.

More about this shelter
Although we are a small no kill shelter we adopt out approximately 370 animals a year. We do work with breed specific rescues also. We get alot of our animals from the local animal control that takes in strays from Branch and Hillsdale Counties which makes our animal control also a no kill shelter. We also have a volunteer base that does outreach work in the community to help provide food, dog houses, cat shelters and spay/neuter.
