Hi! I’m Stormi! I’m super sweet and beautiful with my paw print spots! I love to lay my head on your lap, give kisses, and snuggle next to you whenever I’m allowed. I also like to lie upside down, and if everything goes as planned, get my stomach scratched. I am happy either lying around or playing with my squeaky toys, which I am very proud of. My foster parents find me adorable, especially when I make funny noises to get their attention.
I’m very smart and learn quickly. My many learned commands, include “Sit,” “Stay”, “Shake”, “Lie Down”, “Come”, “Up”, “Off”, “Leave it”, “Outside” and “High-five!”. My favorite is “Make Pretty” (I sit on my haunches with my paws in front) which is a real crowd pleaser. I will very softly and gratefully take any treat I am offered, should you be so inclined.
I am totally housebroken and will quietly sit by the door to let you know I’d like to go out, in case you don’t have dog doors. I will make funny noises to get your attention and let you know what I need, if necessary. I walk on a leash without pulling, although occasionally I can be briefly led astray by a particularly intriguing scent (in my defense they're right there and I come along right away). In the open I stick close and constantly check to see where my humans are. I’m good around other people and their dogs on walks but would prefer not to participate in spur of the moment play dates.
I am friendly with people, although I will usually bark at them if coming into my house, but my tail is wagging in circles and I’m just excited to see them. Soon I am snuggling up to them. I was brought up with a cat, who I got along great with, and I tolerate other dogs, but truthfully I might prefer to be an only dog.

$75 Senior and special needs dogs (7+,add'l care or meds needed)

We ask all who are interested in adopting an animal to fill out an adoption application. We interview all potential adopters with the goal of placing an animal with the correct family and compatible lifestyle. This is of prime importance – we endeavor to make this new home the animal’s residence for life. All of our animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving our facility as part of our adoption contract.
The adoption fees include spay / neuter costs as well as any vaccinations administered at the shelter. All animals are microchipped and your adoption fee covers the cost of a dog license for all of our Blaine County residents. You’ll also go home with a bag of food and a bag of goodies for your new pet!
