We have had Caius since he was a puppy, just four weeks old. He’s now almost 7. We were fostering him at the time but we fell in love with him (his name is actually the name from the foster company but he stole our hearts and the name stuck!). He’s the sweetest and loyalist dog once he gets to know you, but he’s difficult with strangers and small kids. We live in a suburb and we’ve done our best to give him the best life, but the suburb life is hard for him with neighbors nearby. We want him to have larger fields where he can run. He is active and loves playing with his toys and chasing balls and birds. He’s one of the few dogs that I see that independently makes up games for himself with his toys! He’s incredibly smart and could chase a ball for hours.
The ideal environment would be a place where he has open fields and enough space where it’s okay if he doesn’t interact with visitors (he will bark and growl). We are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he finds a good home.
