My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

For The Cats' Sake

Coal and Ember have been transformed by their foster mom and dad! To begin with their fosters Donna and Jason thought are these things actually kittens!!??? They were so frightened coming from a colony and scared of people, so they would just stay so still and be quiet. But that's where the magic of fostering comes in... With some attention Ember has become the sweetest cuddlebug, who loves to lay on your lap or chest and purrrrrr away. Sh gets super excited to see and makes biscuits while she's walking/standing. Coal was harder to bring around, because he ran and hid, and when his fosters finally sneeked a touch he would just froze. With the help of youtube cat purring videos and Coal's favorite security string toy, he finally opened up and now he has a BIG personality!! His love language is play, play, play Wiggle your fingers and pull his toys and this boy is happy. Coal will be a great fly catcher and has a fun time trying to get stink bugs.
These two siblings are a great pair. Equal rowdy play as well as a snuggle bunny lovey dove If you would like to meet them and give them the forever home they so deserve, please fill out the application below:

ONLINE ADOPTION FORM:        https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.

TNR and a whole lot more...

More about this rescue

For The Cats' Sake was founded in 2014 in response to a need for TNR in Rappahannock County, Virginia. Since that time, we have encountered many situations where there is no place for the cats to be returned. In other instances the cats are friendly or there are momma cats too pregnant to be spayed, or young kittens that are adoptable, but need socialization and foster care. Currently we have about 40 cats and kittens in foster care being prepared for adoption. All felines are Up to Date on vaccinations and tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Depending on age at time of adoption, they are also Spayed/Neutered.
