Bernie was found wandering in an apartment complex. She had no chip. She is very affectionate and playful.
She seems to be house-trained if she has access to the outdoors every few hours but now she has to stay in my foster room when I'm at work and she uses the pee pads. But she does potty outside if let out in time.
She is quite a little character. So far she seems quiet. Sleeps through the night and is able to stay in her foster room with minimal whining.
She has introduced herself to the big dogs and loves them and is not intimidated by my devil chihuahua. Everyone is a playmate to her. She should be fine with dog-savvy cats because she will want to play, the cat will have to set boundaries.
Age: 6 months
Weight: 9 lbs
Temperament: Gets along with dogs and cats. I just want older respectful kids for her.
Training: seems house trained, will need to learn to not be mouthy and jumpy in play
Vetting: Spay on 1.8.25, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm testing in mid-Dec.

Adoption fee: $300
To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
