Meet Tawny!
Tawny is a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Pug mix with a personality as unique as her looks—she's got the adorable face of a Pug, the small size of a Chihuahua, and fur reminiscent of a German Shepherd! This playful, goofy girl is looking for her new home in Minnesota.
Tawny is potty trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a doggy door. She’s dog-friendly and enjoys playing fetch, but her playful side can be a little rough at times, so she’d thrive with a family who can keep up with her energy. She’s a devoted lap pet who loves to be near her humans and works off her energy best with someone home most of the time. Tawny is eager to please but can be territorial about toys and treats, so she gets those in her crate where she feels safe. She has made progress with sharing her crate for sleeping but prefers not to share her toys or treats with other dogs.
Because Tawny can be a curious climber and chewer when left unsupervised, crating her while you’re out is recommended. She’ll bark to alert you if a stranger comes near her crate but is otherwise a sweet, loving companion.
If you’re looking for a playful, quirky pup who will keep you laughing and snuggle up when it’s time to relax, Tawny might be the perfect fit for you!
Tawny is from Texas.
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
