My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger gave birth to baby Lainey and is now ready to relax and live the good adopted life in a furever home in Colorado! Ginger is a two year old, 56 pound red dog that we guess might have Vizsla and Lab in her, but that's just a guess. Ginger had been living in an orphanage outside Tijuana, Mexico. One thing to know about Ginger is she was born and raised on the orphanage land and never went outside those gates until picked up by her rescuer, so she is a little fearful of all the recent changes, but still sweet. It takes her a minute to know that you won’t hurt her and she’s fine. On the orphanage she played with dog friends, big and small, and kids of course!

From her foster: "Ginger is anything but dull! She is quirky, sweet and snuggly! She will ask you about your day as soon as you get home, and tell you about hers as well. She loves to play and nibble (affectionately). Although shy at first, she warms up to strangers very quickly, especially when enticed with some cheese. She’s even keeled with a hint of zoomies. Walk well on a leash. Likes cuddles, dislikes bicycles."

Ginger is a distemper survivor so she has a lasting neurological tick/shudder that is mostly visible when she lays down- this just makes us love her more. Other than that she is a healthy girl- spayed and up to date on all vaccines.

Ginger is being foster in Lakewood, Colorado!
