My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a big beautiful female pup who is sweet, gentle, and kind, this 2-year old, 44-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix named Bangle should be winking at you.

Housebroken and crate trained, Bangle is super well-behaved in the home, and also responds to several commands, including sit, come, lie down, and heel. She likes being outside and walks well on a leash, but for an occasional pull when she sees another dog to whom she’d like to say hello. Hey, she’s friendly and social! Speaking of which, Bangle gets along splendidly with humans of all ages, including kids, and of course ALL other dogs.

Bangle is as calm as a cucumber - - barely ever barks, tail constantly wags, never begs for food, and is always content to chill on the couch. A big furry meatball! Bangle enjoys being pet and is starting to discover the wonder of toys. She shares her possessions with ease, she doesn’t mind taking a bath, and she’s relaxed in a car. The only slight hint of anxiety Bangle exhibits is being in unfamiliar environments and riding in elevators…both of which are becoming way less scary for her, with practice and exposure.

Low energy, low maintenance, super good-natured, and soft as butter, Bangle would do great with a loving family, with or without kids, with or without other dogs. All he needs to is a safe place to call home, humans who will adore him the way he will adore them in return, and a comfy spot for napping and snuggling. Not such a tall order!

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
