My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Ignatius 'Iggy' Thistlewhite, the fluffiest little bundle of joy you ever did see! This 4-month-old Lab/Golden/Poodle mix is on the lookout for his forever family to share all his adorable puppy shenanigans with!

Iggy is a ball of energy who can’t get enough of the outdoors—especially when there’s snow to frolic in! He’s always up for an adventure and loves to explore. But don’t let his playful side fool you, Iggy is also a people lover through and through. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, he’s your guy.

Iggy’s currently living with a cat, and while he’s super confused why the cat doesn’t want to play tag, he’s very eager to make some furry friends. A dog-savvy cat who’s okay with a bit of puppy energy would be a perfect match for this mischievous guy. He gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion to help show him the ropes.

Like all puppies, Iggy is still working on his housetraining skills and needs a little help with crate training. He’s not quite a fan of being left alone (who is?), so he’s looking for a family who can be home more often to keep him company.

Iggy’s high-energy personality means he’s always up for fun, but he’s also going to need a bit of extra grooming to keep that gorgeous curly coat looking its best. If you’re ready to bring this bouncy, lovable, snow-loving guy into your life, he’s ready to fill your days with puppy love and plenty of laughs!

Iggy is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea preventatives.  Adopter will be responsible for neutering at 6 months old or vet recommended date.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
