Pinecone is a sweet, under-socialized young cat who has come a long way in her foster home. Having started life as a stray, she's still getting used to people but is making great progress every day.

Pinecone thrives when she has a feline friend to guide her, so she will need to go to a home with another social cat who can be her buddy and help her continue to gain confidence.

She would do best in a quiet household with teens and older, where she can feel safe and gradually come out of her shell. With patience and a calm environment, Pinecone has the potential to become a loving companion.

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
