My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Ember—a one-year-old pup with a heart as big as my zest for life! My journey hasn’t been easy: I was a stray in Houston and ended up at an overcrowded shelter. But I got a second chance, and now I’m ready to find my forever family!

I might be missing two toes, but you’d never know it. I love zooming around the yard, going on walks, and playing tug of war or fetch. Car rides? Count me in! I’m super smart, treat-motivated, and eager to learn new tricks—"good girl" is my favorite phrase. Even though I've been through a lot, I always keep my tail wagging, because I'm just happy to be here!

I can be a little shy or barky when meeting new people, but I warm up fast, especially if you’re kind. Once I know you’re my friend, get ready for cuddles galore—I’m a champion snuggler who’ll gladly share the couch or bed with you.

I’m great with other dogs and have no food or toy aggression, so I’d love a home with a furry sibling to play with. If I’m your only pet, that’s okay too—I just want someone to love!

If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, I’m your girl. Let’s make each other’s lives brighter!

Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs & cats who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met.
