Miku is not open to interaction at this time and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Because her previous owner reports once comfortable with strangers she is friendly and outgoing, plays gently, allows pick up and spends her time around people in a home environment, we believe the behavior seen in the care center is shelter-specific and this cat would make a great pet, but is really struggling in the shelter environment. This cat is suitable for an adult-only home with adopters with previous cat experience who are willing to work with a cat who needs time and patience to help her adjust to their new home.

Animal Care Centers of NYC encourages everyone to come to one of our three full service Care Centers when looking to adopt a pet. Beautiful dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits are anxiously waiting a home to call their own.

All ACC adoptions include vaccinations, a microchip, spay/neuter, one month of free pet health insurance, and a free office visit at a participating veterinarian.
