Buckaroo is a neutered male adorable 16 pound Chihuahua mix born about 12/22, so approximately 2 years old. He’s an absolute sweetheart with people and also is friendly with other dogs. Sadly, his former human passed away, and his needs another home due to no fault of his own. He is house trained, healthy, fully vetted, and neutered. Buckaroo loves to collect stuffed toys and sit on them like a hen on her eggs. He’s loving, bright eyed, and has an underbite that will keep you smiling. Adoption fee is $200. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to:

We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly. After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.

Rutherford County Humane Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving Rutherford County since 1979, with the mission to significantly improve the lives of unwanted and neglected animals, and to measurably decrease this number through our spay and neuter programs, volunteer foster homes, and outreach and education. We are an independent organization that works in collaboration with other area animal advocacy groups.
