Meet Chica, the sweetest little cinnamon roll with a deceptively frowny face. After being abandoned at a bike rack and spending a few anxious months in the shelter, this gentle lady is finally blossoming in her foster home – and she couldn`t be happier to have a warm, safe place to wait for her forever family.
Miss Chica has impeccable manners. She is making good progress on potty training, doesn`t bark or jump, and has shown no signs of resource guarding. She responds well to `sit` and `wait` and is eager to expand her vocabulary. When her foster mom is busy, she contentedly entertains herself with a bone. The only mischief she`s likely to get into when left alone is sneaking into the human bed for a nap.
She is working on building up her confidence on walks in the bustling city, but once she gets going, she’s a loose-leash pro. She appears to have a high prey drive, so she might not be suited for a home with cats. We suspect she`s dog-selective but haven`t had the opportunity to introduce her to other dogs or children yet.
While her serious expression may make you think she’s all business, Chica is starting to show hints of a goofy side. She’ll joyfully galumph after balls and nudge for pets when she`s in the mood for scritches. Most of the time though, Chica is happiest curled up next to you on the couch, snoring the day away. She is truly a snuggly, affectionate pup who can’t wait to finally have a home to call her own.
