Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Tom was born on a farm in an accidental litter. He is 6, goofy, excitable, and thinks he is a lap dog. He has vet anxiety and has medication for it.
Hes lived in a rural/suburb most of his life, going on trails or running around a large yard. Im moving to a city now and I dont think the transition would be good for him. Especially since he gets nervous around strangers, unfamiliar noises, and doesnt like to be contained to small spaces.
Hes good with some dogs but not with others so a home without other dogs would be best unless you can do a slow introduction. He was raised with cats and is good with them.
He loves playing fetch but will turn it into keep away to stay outside longer and moves all his toys to the room he is currently in.
He loves being on trails and he is trained to pull, we were working on canicross training. He knows those commands as well as sit, wait, and leave it.
He also absolutely loves car rides and will jump in if the door is open.
