My foster writes: This cat is a wonderful feline companion.
She is relentlessly affectionate, seeking pets and caresses and giving head rubs all while constantly purring, at every opportunity. She wiggles and arches and rubs to find your hand and get some love. She has been good with strangers but does not have experience with children or other animals. She is really petite and prances around the apartment sometimes having random sparring attacks with imaginary enemies. She loves playting with toys! She just likes to explore the home environment and see things from different views. She doesn't knock things down just to see them move. I took her to a groomer when she first arrived and even the groomer was charmed by her ease of personality.

A volunteer writes: Amelia's turtle shell is such a look. Sitting beneath her shell (it's a box) like she's attached, Amelia waits... and waits because, like a turtle, she has patience. Though her little kitty face poking out is hard to miss, visitors keep passing her by. Amelia came to us from a home with many other cats and while the shelter can be big and overwhelming, Amelia knows what works for her. In addition to her cuddly and bespoke cardboard shell, she also loves pets. Lots and lots of pets! Amelia will nuzzle her fluffy cheeks this way and that even coming forward to get more. Adorably the box sometimes comes with her as she walks like an actual turtle, but she's a cat. A cat who needs a second chance to find her family. Amelia's looking for someone who will follow her lead and give her the time, space, and love to come out of her shell, or continue enjoying it, at her own perfect pace.

Terry tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Due to the initial behavior shown, she may not be a great fit for younger children.
