My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arriving soon - meet Shani! Shani is a rock star shelter dog coming soon to our rescue. Shani is a Brindled Jindo who is coming to the PNW to start her new life.

Shani is the charmer at her current shelter, gets along with other dogs and adults, a bit timid around younger children and loud noises. Her caregivers consider her affectionate, and believe she would do well in a quiet household with lots of cuddle time. A charming gal who appreciates quiet moments with her people.

Shani is a Brindle Jindo Dog, known as "Tiger" color and indigenous to the Island of Jindo in South Korea. Jindo are known to be loyal, bright, and gentle. At only about 32 pounds, Shani is a nice sturdy size - a great companion dog!

Can you give Shani her best start? Shani is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed, she just needs the perfect home. Is it with you? We expect Shani and Cello to arrive before the end of January.

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
