My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Iris!

Iris is a young mixed breed that came into our shelter as a stray, and went unclaimed. She is a very sweet girl that we are estimating to be around 10 months old, and she currently weighs around 38 pounds. When she came in she was definitely too skinny, but we are slowly getting her back to a healthy weight. Right now for her age, and height her goal weight is around 42 - 45 pounds, but as she gets older, grows, and matures a healthy weigh could be around 50 pounds. Iris is very much still a puppy, and she always has to be doing something! Whether its playing with a toy, exploring, or getting attention from the volunteers and staff, she is always busy. Iris would make a great family dog for a home that is active, and looking for a dog to work with. She is very food motivated, and with consistent training we feel she could catch on to a lot of cool tricks. Iris has done well with most other dogs, and another dog in the home to play with may be ideal for her when her human are busy or way from the home.

Iris' adoption fee is $250, and she is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care.
