Dog's Name: Templeton (TEM0125ALAMD)
Estimated Breed: Chihuahua / Rat Terrier MIX
Approximate Age: 3 years
Approximate Weight: 16 lbs
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Templeton, a happy, playful soul with a heart full of love to give to a lucky adopter. This little fella has been through a lot in his young life and he is ready to be spoiled! After being badly neglected in the past, Templeton has bounced back to his sweet, loving, vibrant self. He is good with other dogs and with cats, is house trained and loves to go for walks, and he treats every encounter with a new human or dog as the opportunity to make a new friend. At night he wold love to sleep on your bed if you'll let him. Every morning he dives into the toy bin to find just the right squeaky toys for the day. He is very food motivated and easy to train, and wants nothing more than to figure out what you would like him to do. He would be a great dog for an active family with or without other pets. Templeton's love knows no bounds, and he's ready to share it with people who will love him as he loves them. Could it be your? Submit an application today and give Templeton the loving forever home of his dreams!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
