My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mocha hasnandamp;#39;t experienced the love, patience, or structure that every dog deserves in his young life. His world has been one of uncertainty, leaving him shy, nervous, and hesitant around people; urgently need out of the shelter and into a home that can work with him. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Heandamp;#39;s still learning that a leash isnandamp;#39;t something to fear and that hands can bring comfort, not harm. Without the tools to navigate the world, Mocha has been left under-socialized and unsure of how to trust. Despite his rough start, he holds on to the hope of finding someone who will finally see his worth. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Mocha needs a kind and understanding soul who recognizes that progress takes time and love. He will thrive with someone who celebrates his small victories, like the hesitant wag of his tail or a tentative step forward. A calm home where he can decompress and build confidence will be essential to his journey. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, Mocha can learn that the world isnandamp;#39;t as scary as it seems. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;While his past doesnandamp;#39;t define him, Mocha is ready for a second chance. If you have the love and patience to help this deserving pup, please come by and meet him today. Weandamp;#39;ll provide the tools and resources you need to make his journey a successful one.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
