My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Archibald is a 1-year-old female dog collie mix. She was groomed on Sunday at PetCo NE andamp; the staff said she did very well as they tried to help her lose some matting. She emerged very fluffy from the groomer. Sheandamp;#39;s about 30 pounds andamp; could stand to fill out her frame a bit more. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Archibald has been paired up with another dog at the Shelter. She has puppy ears andamp; lanky puppy legs. She is working on her coordination. Archibald walks well on a leash andamp; will continue to go on multiple daily walks to improve her skills. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;She is quickly becoming crate trained. She jumps into the car for rides andamp; may need a boost if sheandamp;#39;s jumping into a really tall vehicle. This girl is completely recovered from her spay surgery andamp; is ready for a home that will continue to train her. Please email us at EPAS@elpasotexas.gov with her A number to meet her!

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
