Legion is a sweet and loving 10 month old German Shepherd who has had quite the journey. Found as a stray in Detroit, he was never claimed, which means he’s looking for a forever family to call his own. This happy boy has a gentle demeanor but can be a little shy at first. With patience and love, he's sure to blossom into a loyal companion.
Legion is very motivated by treats and food, making him a joy to train! He has a good understanding of house manners, which eases the transition into a new home. It doesn't take long for him to warm up and show tou his affectionate side. He does well with other active dogs and has even met a cat recently at his foster home. He would likely do well with older dog-savvy children.
Legion is currently learning commands and working on his crate training and leash manners. He’s a quick learner and is enthusiastic about mastering new skills! He knows the command sit and he is working on giving paw.
Legion will thrive in an active family that can provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. He would do best in a home with a physically fenced yard where he can safely run and play. This breed is not suited to being tethered outside, as they require a more active lifestyle and companionship.
German Shepherd or working class dog breed experience is preferred. Legion wl benefits from structured training and socialization, making a knowledgeable owner ideal.
