My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Murphy is waiting for you. He’d be the perfect loyal devoted companion for a laid-back household. All he wants is to be loved on and to return affection. He is a two year-old 64 pound Retriever lab mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/3. He’s very unique in that he’s got one blue eye and one brown eye and speckles! He’s timid at first, but with TLC he warms up. He even wagged his tail. He bonded with me and we soon became BFF! When I had had him out in the yard he explored the yard and seemed to enjoy getting out. He’s gentle, alert, very sweet, calm, and cautiously friendly. He’s possibly housebroken as when he did his business in the yard it looked like he had saved it. He walks OK on a leash. He wants to get out of the noisy shelter and be in a cozy home where he could snuggle up with his new family. He told me he wants to be an inside dog. He doesn’t have the temperament to be an outside dog.
