This beauty is ready to help you bring in the New Year! She came in as a stray with her litter of baby kittens, and now it is time for a New Year and a new adventure to find a forever home. Because Prosecco was such a wonderful protective Mom, she was very busy protecting and caring for her babies. But in foster we got to see her quiet nature and love for play. She will need a quiet home with patience for her to come out of her shell and offer her some play time (string toys are her favourite). She does love a cat tree, to watch the outdoors from a window, and quiet place to hide when she needs. Would you like to celebrate, and enjoy 2025 and many more years with Prosecco? Come meet her at Pet Valu Roundhouse starting January 7th!

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
