My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Juju has done an amazing job raising her puppies, and now it’s her time to shine! This sweet girl is ready to trade her mama duties for belly rubs, long walks, and all the love she can soak up.

While she’s a little shy at first, Juju warms up quickly and transforms into the sweetest, most playful companion. She’s not just a dog person—she’s a cat lover! Juju adores cats, happily playing with them, curling up for a nap together, and showing them just as much love as she gives her humans.

Juju is just beginning to work on commands but follows a routine very nicely. She does startle at loud noises - like a bus or truck going by but does well passing by strangers or other dogs while out for a walk.

Juju LOVES her squeaky toys and outdoor zoomies. She gets along great with other dogs too, making her the perfect addition to any family. Juju truly is the total package—sweet, playful and loving.

Juju is scheduled to be spayed on 1/15/2025 and then she will be ready to head to her furever home ♥

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

Additional adoption info

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.
****Failure to take these steps may delay the process

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Altered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $525

Unaltered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (A $100 sterilization deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $375

Seniors (7+ years old): $250

Adult dogs who have been with us for over 6 months: $188

At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
