Meet Shay

Shay is a 3 month old Australian Shepherd Mix. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventative.

Shay is currently in our Paws Behind Bars Prison Dog Training Program. She is crate trained and potty trained when kept on a puppy friendly schedule (frequently taken outside during the day). She has learned sit, down, come, and stay. She is perfecting her leash walking skills. Shay is dog friendly and would be fine with older kiddos.

Shay’s ideal family would have a fenced in yard and time to devote to maintaining/continuing her training and socialization.

We review and schedule meets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.

Keep in mind she is a a young pup with a life expectancy of up to 15 years. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for family and for dog, including a home that can stay committed to her for life.
