A24714 Horchata is a gray/brown calico colored, approximately 4-year-old, 11-pound, spayed female, Domestic Short-Haired Cat.
She entered the shelter as a stray on 01-04-2025.
Horchata is a friendly, social, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff says she is a bold kitty who loves to play and explore. She did become a little over stimulated in the playroom, with all the smells and toys, and needed to find a cubby to relax in. But mostly she loves affection and people. Horchata will be a loving companion in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
