Hello my name is Jax I’m a rottweiler mix and am around 2 years old and weigh in at around 65 lbs. I would not do good with cats as they are fun to chase and young kids would be a no as I don’t know my own strength and would be too rough with them. I like other dogs and would do good with a female dog friend. I am working on my leash manners as I was probably never taught and I like to pull and I am a strong boy. I am a talkative boy and will let you know when I want something. I love to run and play and if you are interested in me please email.

The adoption fee is $250.00, which includes neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming and vaccinations. All adoptions are done by appointment only, with an approved application on file. Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We ask that prior to arrival at the shelter you please either call or email for further details and to get an application for the pet.

2.
Meet the Pet

When you appointment time has been set, we will have you come and meet your pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If all goes well the pet can go home with you the same day.

Additional adoption info

Cats $150.00

All cat adoption fees include leukemia testing, spaying or neutering, entire series of vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at any local Columbia County Veterinarian, a complimentary adoption take-home packet and a carrier.

Puppies (under 6 months of age)................................$350.00

Dogs (over 7 months of age).......................................$250.00

All dog adoption fees include , spaying or neutering, current on vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at participating local Columbia County Veterinarian, complimentary take-home adoption packet and a leash and collar.

All adoptions must be reviewed prior to approval. In order to ensure that every dog and cat goes to the appropriate home, Columbia Humane Society reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption application for any reason they see fit. A home check may be performed in order to determine suitability. Columbia Humane Society's kennels are not open to the public, all applications must be filled out prior to meeting with a pet.
