The BLT boys are coming at ya! The BLT babies sat at the shelter for over a month, with little interaction outside of their kennel, all three of them varying levels of scared and shut down. It’s obvious these boys need some time and comfort to learn to trust again, though Bacon boy is already giving class clown. Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato have been in separate kennels the entire time they were at the shelter, and they immediately lit up when they got to see each other again, realizing that not only were they leaving the shelter, they were getting to leave together. Letty is a little shy, but loves treats, and being around other dogs makes him leave all his nerves behind and he becomes a goofy puupy himself! When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.
Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!

Swamp Haven is an animal rescue organization that takes down-on-their-luck dogs and nurtures them back to a healthy mental and physical state, so they can find their forever home. Our goal is simple. We save innocent dogs that have been overlooked by society and provide short-term care including vetting (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and heartworm and flea prevention) and training to learn how to walk politely on a leash, play in a pack and live calmly and lovingly in their new home.
