Alright, folks, buckle up because I’m about to tell you the tale of one tough little lady who has refused to give up—Glinda, the miracle puppy. I’ve been holding off on writing her bio, honestly, because I feared that the heartbreak of her story would continue to unfold, but let me tell you—this girl is a fighter, and it looks like she’s finally conquered her rough start in life. For those who have been following the journey of our Wicked Litter, you’ll know Glinda’s backstory. She and her siblings were found abandoned on the side of the road—emaciated, riddled with parasites, and in desperate need of help. We were contacted about them, and thanks to her incredible foster family, we were able to step in and save them. But the road ahead was far from easy.
From the get-go, we knew something was bogging this litter down. Multiple vet visits for serious gastrointestinal issues followed, and though their parvo tests were negative at first, it wasn’t long before that changed. Glinda and her sister, Elphaba, ended up spending nearly TWO WEEKS at the vet, fighting for their lives. We came so close to losing them both, but miraculously, they pulled through. As if that wasn’t enough, just when we thought the worst was behind us, Glinda faced yet another blow: a prolapse. The prognosis was grim. After everything she had already been through, the vet wasn’t sure she’d make it through surgery. There were fears that some of her tissue might have died, and we had to mentally prepare for the possibility that we might have to say goodbye to this sweet girl. But, determined as ever, we decided to proceed with the surgery and see what we were working with. And thankfully, it was better than expected. The vet had to remove a small piece of her intestine, but the rest was salvageable, and everything was put back in place. Glinda made it through surgery and has been recovering beautifully ever since. Honestly, I think we need to wrap her in bubble wrap just to be safe! Long story short, this girl is nothing short of extraordinary. After all the odds stacked against her, she has come out the other side stronger and more resilient than we could’ve imagined. So, to whoever adopts her—get ready to shower this miracle pup with all the love she deserves. She’s been through the wringer, and now it’s her time to shine. Trust me, adopting Glinda means you’re not just bringing home a puppy—you’re welcoming a living, breathing miracle.
Glinda is now around 12 weeks old and, despite all the hardships she’s faced, remains one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. Adopting her means signing up for a 24/7 cuddle buddy service, with no escape. This little lovebug absolutely lives for being held and carried around—how else is she supposed to snuggle into your neck and shower you with kisses? I’m pretty sure the day she’s too big to be carried is the day we all get a pet unicorn instead. Even as an adult, she’s probably still going to expect to be "babied," so whoever adopts her better be strong—like, pick-up-a-full-grown-Great-Pyrenees-with-one-hand strong. And if you’re the type who gives up after three squats at the gym, well, you might want to start training now! One of Glinda’s all-time favorite age groups? The tiny humans. She can’t help herself and loves to give them nose boops. In exchange for their pets, she makes sure to return the favor with plenty of puppy kisses. Out of all her siblings, Glinda is the calmest—she’s a true go-with-the-flow gal, and it’s part of what’s kept her sweet spirit intact through all her struggles. We think Glinda would thrive in pretty much any home, but she’d do best in a place where she’s treated like the princess she is—lots of cuddles, lots of love, and if you're not into puppy kisses... well, be warned: this girl is all about the up-close-and-personal life. She’ll literally be your shadow, and if you’re the type to shy away from a dog who insists on sitting on your lap or licking your face like a human-sized lollipop, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you want a lifetime of affection, love, and some serious cuddle sessions, Glinda is your girl because lovey-dovey is basically her love language, and she speaks it fluently!
Speaking of being a little lovebug, Glinda is basically the social butterfly of the canine world. She loves everyone and everything! This girl is a friend to all—she’s got no reservations when it comes to making new pals. Whether it’s befriending other dogs, meeting new people, or doting on kids, Glinda’s got the charm to win everyone over. And yes, she even knows how to work her magic on the cats—she’ll be giving them the “I’m harmless and adorable” look until they can’t resist her sweetness! Glinda’s definitely the kind of pup who believes in the power of a good friendship… and a lot of kisses. Glinda is still pretty young, so her "adventures" so far have mostly involved vet trips—poor girl’s had more doctor’s appointments than most adults! But if her sweet, lovable personality is any indication, we’re pretty sure she’d love going places with her new family. She’s on the calmer side, which means she might even be a future therapy dog—can you imagine her bringing smiles to nursing homes or schools? She’d be the four-legged version of a heart emoji! Now, if you’re more of a “stay-at-home and binge-watch shows” kind of person, Glinda’s all for that too. Her #1 priority is being with her family, spreading love, and soaking up all the affection she can get. She’s totally flexible—whether you’re out running errands or chilling at home, she’s down for whatever. She does love a good romp with the other dogs, but once that’s over, it’s straight to human cuddles or a nap, because let’s be real—being this cute is exhausting. She’ll run around outside, but don’t be shocked if she’s the first one to race back inside like, "Okay, that’s enough fresh air for today. Time for toys and snuggles!"
Given Glinda’s personality, we’re pretty confident she’d do just fine in an apartment—she’s not expecting to take up an entire room (or the whole couch) all by herself! Plus, she’s not going to grow into a giant, so you won’t have to start knocking down walls for her to have her own wing of the house. Glinda’s already hard at work on her potty training and has figured out that going outside means it’s potty time. When it comes to her kennel, Glinda’s a bit of a free spirit. She loves to sleep in it, but she’s never actually been locked inside. She has a little space where she can move around freely and decide whether she wants to sleep in the kennel or sprawl out somewhere else. Basically, she’s living the dream: a cozy spot to sleep and the freedom to roam. It’s a win-win!
