What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Cosmo is an energetic, curious, confident, smart, friendly, and goofy boy. We (3 adults) adopted him from a shelter in May 2024. Cosmo loves tug games, squeaky toys, belly rubs, and running around the yard. He walks pretty well on a leash, though is distracted by squirrels and dogs. He has had compatible dog playdates but tends to act like a pesky puppy and needs a playmate who can play vigorously with him. An unresolved behavior issue we have had is that when Cosmo gets overstimulated or doesn’t want to do something, he will sometimes challenge us by jumping and nipping at us. We sent him to a board & train program to help address this stubborn issue. The primary family member in charge of Cosmo is experiencing health issues that are preventing her from giving Cosmo the care and continued training he needs, so we do not feel able to continue to give him a good home. With an experienced owner and targeted training, Cosmo will thrive and be a beloved companion.
