Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Beach! I came in through local animal control, so my past is a bit of a mystery. I think I’d do best in a home without small animals, and it might be better if there aren’t young kids around. I can be a little nervous around new people at first, so it might take me some time to warm up. But don’t worry—I’m young and quick to learn, and once I’m comfortable, I’m a super playful boy! I can be a bit mouthy and vocal at times, especially when I’m excited or want attention, but I’ll get better with some training. I’d love a home with lots of space to explore, and maybe a big comfy couch to relax on when I’m all worn out. Before bringing me home, please make sure you have the time, space, and resources to care for me for the rest of my life! I can’t wait to meet you!

Interview

If your Pre-Adoption Questionnaire is approved we'll call to discuss the animal's needs. If it's a match, we will schedule an appointment.

3.
Meet the Pet

If all goes well at your adoption appointment, you will finish the adoption process and take your new pet home.

Our current adoption fees are:
Dog - $100
Dog 35 lb and under - $150
Senior Dog (7 yrs and older) - $50
Puppy (5 mo and under) - $175

Cats (over 5 mo to 1 yr) - $65
Cats (over 1 yr) - $50
Senior Cat (7 yrs and older) - $25
Kitten (5 mo and under) - $85

All adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, Rabies vaccine, and microchip. We also include a free vet check from a list of local vets. For those individuals who rent, we do require landlord approval prior to adoption.

More about this shelter

Companions Animal Center is a non-profit organization funded exclusively by donations and grants. Every day we receive numerous homeless animals. We shelter, feed, and provide medical care for these animals while searching for loving homes for them.

As a "No-Kill" shelter, animals who are in our facility do not face a "be adopted quick or else" ultimatum but rather are cared for until they can be placed.

Our Mission - is to focus all of our efforts and resources toward directly benefiting the quality of life for all abandoned or mistreated pets with the ultimate goal of finding each one a loving household in which to share their lives.
