Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We initially got Laika as a foster, but she was so wonderful we ended up adopting her after her spay. We have two cats and were hopeful that if we continued slow introductions they might end up getting along. Unfortunately, even after working with a trainer and a behavioralist Laika is too fixated on chasing/herding the cats to live safely in a house with them.
She has some reactivity on leash to dogs and unfamiliar men but has done great with all people once introduced. She is gentle taking treats, tolerant with grooming, and has done great with kids. She did get along well with her roommate in the shelter.
Laika is a fantastic dog, and we would not have put so much time into trying to make things work otherwise. She is house broken and we are able to leave her loose while at work during the day. She is affectionate, whip-smart (with a repertoire of 10 commands so far), and eager to please. She is very chill for a Malinois but would still do best with daily walks and a fenced yard.
